I think I might have an answer to this problem. Instead of deporting illegals, we should deport those who send jobs overseas. While illegals have ruined the meatpacking industry, they did not destroy our electronics industry. There is no reason why we can’t assemble TVs in America. I think Steve Jobs should change his name to Leave Jobs. After all, Apple has sent a lot of jobs overseas.

Can you expand on the meatpacking? I have heard that before but I’m not sure what has happened. I have seen Tyson in the news many times for hiring illegals.
If someone is told to turn a blind eye to them, who is it and why?

At one time meatpacking paid more than the average manufacturing wage. In the early 80’s about 45% of meatpackers were unionized. Today, meatpacking pays less than the average manufacturing wage and about 20% of meatpackers are unionized. Some companies “recruit” illegals to work in their factories. This practice also encourages other illegals to seek employment at the factories. For more information, there is a chapter in “Fast Food Nation” that describes the recent history of the meatpacking industry.
