Sunday, April 13th, 2008Today I was able to add quite a few companies to the Directory of American Made Products. I added a Leather Company, a Bike Company, a Furniture Company, a Company that makes Martial Arts Equpment in America, a Pets Product company, and a few more.
I have many more to add just I don’t have the time to add pages right now. Busy spring with Little League, mowing the lawn, day job! You know, real life!

I was searching your site but could not find any horse blankets (the
protective turn-out kind, not the saddle pads) that are made in the
U.S.
That would be a great item to have. There are lots of horse owners out
there . . . I’m not having much luck finding any companies yet.

Holding Companies Accountable
Saturday, December 8th, 2007I read some more articles where like me other people are pointing out that all of these dangerous toys are being imported in by American Companies and that should make them just as much to blame! The Chinese would not be making these things had the American Companies did not hire them to do so! I hope it cost them so much they think about the real cost. And they will if we make them pay!
Parents Told to Watch Out
Saturday, November 24th, 2007Ok some of the points are silly. Yes moving toys like skateboards and bikes can indeed be dangerous, but so can walking across the street. Is it not the unseen and unkown that is more dangerous? Is there lead in that paint? Did slave labor make this toy? Did an American loose a job becuase this toy was made in China?

Friday, November 23rd, 2007How cool, on Thanksgiving this site was mentioned in an OP ED in the Pittsburgh Post Gazette Opinion. It is a good OP ED by the way. I love this line “That’s OK. I’m also sure there are political beliefs on some of these sites that would curl my hair. I’m not trying to get all red, white and blue in the face here.” And for the record I never wanted this site to be poltical! So I hope it was not this site he meant, as he did list several others along with Americansworking.com.

What would Jesus Buy?
Wednesday, November 21st, 2007Well I’m not even going to try and answer that. The reason I’ve used that as a headline is because of what I have just read. There are several articles just published regarding the shopping habits of Jesus if he were here today. One of the articles is a MTV interview with film maker Moragn Spurlock of “Super Size Me” fame. This interview is based on his new film “What would Jesus Buy” So near the end of the interview he mentions a scene that was cut from the film about a Chinese Woman who is jailed for being a Christain, while jailed for her horrible crime she is forced to make Christmas Lights to be exported to the US. All the while being tortured. Now I don’t know if this is true, it sounds as though he is talking about it as fact. I would like to know. Although I already believe it just because of all of the news of this type of activity coming from China.

Maglite Flashlights added
Tuesday, November 20th, 2007Today I added Maglite flashlights to the American Made Products Directory. I was told about Maglite by an alert visitor to the site, thanks Jeff!
One of the things I loved about the Maglite site was that they were proud of the fact they are American Made and did not mind bragging about it. I know what all of my flashlights will be from now one.
