Is anti Americanism a smoke screen

Saturday, April 21st, 2007

Read the article in the BBC here. I have long thought that many people in third world countries are kept poor and undereducated by the corrupt men and women that run those countries while they spread hatred about the US being the blame. The ones to blame are the powerful people in those countries treating their own people if they are growing mushrooms. (you know in the dark and fed sh..)

Just look at Venezuela, they have so many greenbacks flowing in they should have a problem knowing where to spend it all. Why is crime so rampant there? Why is Hugo taking over private business. He gets away with it by painting America as a monster and himself as the only one who can save them. All the while the people there eat it up, yes it is not us being lazy and dumb, it is America. Meanwhile they give him more control of their lives, and soon they will have none left and we end up with an oil soaked hive of angry people that will do do the work of a mad man named Hugo. He will have to make it hard on the people to continue his sick control and spread of American hatred. I remember reading about someone else doing somnething like this in Europe in the 1930’s…..

Treasury Chief Paulson Makes 3rd Trip to China, Aims at Financial Reforms

Friday, April 20th, 2007

Here is some highlights from the AP article:

The administration is trying to convince the Chinese to open their financial markets to greater participation by U.S. companies as a way to strengthen the Chinese financial system by introducing American expertise and greater competition.

The U.S. trade deficit with China hit a record $232.5 billion last year, prompting more calls by democrats in Congress for the administration to do more to deal with the soaring imbalance.

See the whole thing here.

If we slow down our buying from them we won’t have this problem.

Samsung Exec Pleads Guilty to Price Fixing

Friday, April 20th, 2007

Il Ung Kim, vice president of marketing for the memory division at Samsung, is the sixth Samsung executive to agree to plead guilty in the case, the department said. He agreed to serve 14 months in a U.S. prison, the department said.

To date, courts have imposed criminal fines totaling more than $730 million against members of the computer chip cartel, the department said. A total of 18 individuals and four companies have been charged as a result of the investigation.

The entire article can be found here.

This price fixing just shows how much power they have in this industry. There are no other companies that could compete with them, so they went even further and fixed prices. They need someone to compete against. Anyone with such power can become corrupt, I think we all know that. Are there anyAmerican comanies making chips anymore?

The EU

Thursday, April 19th, 2007

Is it just me or does it seem like the EU was formed to help the world beat down the USA? Combining gives them much more power and their Euro more strength. We seem to sit around and watch as our power ebbs under the assumption of Free Trade, and the global economy. I say the heck with them. They undermine our trade with unfair aid to their so called private firms that compete with us, they undermine our dollar with the stupid Euro.

Hey fellow Americans, it is OK to be the big dog on the block. And just remember if we are not the big dog, someone else is. Would you rather decide what is best for you, or have that choice made or forced on you when we are no longer the big dog. There is a pecking order in the world, we have been the Alpha for a long time. Lets pull our heads out, then put them together again and Kick Some Ass American Style. We were and still are the best people in the world. We are because we are the best and brightest from the Old Worlds that made this New World. Don’t forget that we come from people leaving other countries were men were not free to excel to come to the USA where anyone can be anything they work hard to be. Look around at the top of the heap in America, you will see people that 5 years ago may have been living next door to you. Lets not loose that because other people want to knock us off the top.

Rice is not included in the S Korea Trade Pact

Thursday, April 19th, 2007

The South Korean government was able to exclude rice from the deal that is about to be ratified. Where we able to exclude anything? They said it would damage their rice farmers if they allowed US rice in as part of the Free Trade Deal.

What about the industry we allow to suffer and or kill by allowing cheap cars and electronics. I guess free trade is just a nice name.

Do our farmers even want or need to sell rice to SK? Maybe they don’t I really don’t know. But just the thought that we maybe making another bad deal makes me ill.
