It would be nice if money was spent on factories;clothing, shoes, cars, etc. here in America.Maybe there will be less crimes, abuse of drugs{medical},Less people on SSI, Gov't programs. I have not work but three days in almost 2 years.I clean someone home for room and board. It remain me of slavery.I have no choice. When will the American companies wake up. I have been laid off 6 times in 10 years. We throw our money to help other countries and cheaper labor but the neglect is here-USA.

Hi Dave, I checked the links and they are fine. However all most all of my links off the site open in a new window which many computers see as a pop up and it may have been blocked. Many time you can hold ctrl while you click the link (depending on your software. Also you could allow pop ups from my site and don't worry because I do not allow pop up ads on my site. also here is the link just in case, if nothing else copy and paste into your nav bar http://www.hairpower.com/aboutus.html

Thanks for visiting the site!

I agree that we need the manufacturing capability here in the US. But we also need the service jobs as well. Not only are we losing sales to products made in other countries, but try calling a help line for almost any product sold in the US. You are immediately in contact with someone living on the Indian Ocean or near there.

All the latest recalls information is quite overwhelming when you are just trying to buy safe toys for your kids. I found the following web site wich has a printable list of toys made in the USA: www.usatoyguide.com. I found a wooden train for my son, a board game and teddy bear for my daughter. It was great to support US companies!

Employers are supposed to pay H1-B visa employees the same rate of pay as American employees, though it is widely known that there are ways around that. There is a limit to the number of h1-B visas issued each year and it is usually filled for the year within just a few weeks. The greater threat is L-1 Visa workers. These are workers hired overseas and "transferred" to the U.S. to fill positions. There is no limit on L-1 visas. Temporary staffing companies like TATA in India, are setting up office in the U.S., filling contract positions at American Companies using "transferees" from India. They are NOT paid the same as Americans and often have to share an apartment with several other "transferees".
