The Chernoff-Bobrick family is a microcosm of America: Marguerite Chernoff was the daughter of a Swiss mother and the French Consul to Chihuahua; Samuel Chernoff was a Russian immigrant to Mexico. They came to Albuquerque in search of a better life for their children, and were beguiled by the Native cultures of the Southwest.
